May photo dump
Here are some new photos taken around Kakanui and the University of Otago campus earlier this year. I used Kodak Double-X, a cinema film designed way back in 1959 which has a lovely shadowy, noir quality.
I bought my canister from FiveThirty film lab in Auckland who spooled short ends from actual film stock. Here's what they say about it:
200XX is a classic black & white film. It’s a film stock that was designed in 1959 - making it a truely timeless emulsion that has been used in countless films such a Raging Bull, Schindlers List & Kill Bill. It’s an incredibly versatile film with soft natural grain, and great shadow detail. It can be shot between 200-1600 ISO.
I've also updated my website to automatically add photographic images to the gallery when posted to the blog. New images appear at the top of the page and you can review a little metadata about each photo too by clicking the (i).
